A new study again debunks the idea of "eating for two" when you're pregnant. Researchers say women who gain a lot of weight when they're pregnant, are more likely to have a high birth weight baby, and those babies are more likely to be come obese later in life.
Research in animals suggests that too much weight gain while in the womb can impact a fetus' fat tissues and the organs that regulate weight gain.
Experts do say that severely limiting food while pregnant can also do damage to a growing fetus.
