There are a lot of great things about our city--the beautiful weather, the endless activities, the world-class restaurants and professional shows, but there is one thing about our city that is often called into question: community. We’re told we’re a city of transients. That no one knows their neighbors. That we all live disconnected from each other. But that view is changing. We are becoming more connected, maybe not through traditional means but through the way we live now, with ever-changing and ever-evolving technology.
 
Technology is the first step; it’s the first way we can reach out to each other, but its only part of the new story. It may be how we communicate but it’s not what we talk about. What we talk about are the things that bring us joy, the things that make life interesting. Technology is just how we connect not what we connect. We are really fashioning relationships when we respond to a blog, update our Facebook status or send a tweet.  That’s what this site is all about, making relationships and helping each other with the most delightful and difficult job we will ever have --being a MOM.
So with this new site I hope we don’t just use it to show off our latest cute baby pictures (although, who doesn’t want EVERYONE to see the cutest baby in the world!) but that we build a community together.
